Valentina has gained extensive experience in compliance and regulatory fields, with more than 7 years of experience in the Luxembourg financial sector and with a special focus on alternative investment strategies.
Valentina joined Standish Management in October 2018 to strengthen the compliance department. Prior to join Standish Management, Valentina worked as Deputy Compliance Officer for a reputable Luxembourg fund administrator focusing on private equity, real estate and debt structures. Prior to that, Valentina worked for a consultancy firm providing assistance on legal, regulatory and compliance related subjects to a wide range of clients, including regulated and unregulated fund structures.
Valentina started her professional career in Luxembourg in 2013, when she worked as a risk and compliance officer for a support PFS.
Valentina holds a master degree in international relations from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Valentina is an active ALCO member and has participated to compliance related working groups with the Luxembourg Alternative Administrators Association.
Maria has over 15 years of extensive experience in the compliance and audit fields. Maria joined Standish Management in May 2012 and is in charge of the compliance. Prior to joining Standish Management, Maria worked within the compliance department of a life insurance company. Maria started her career working for almost 6 years as an auditor where she focused on the banking and insurance sectors, first at Ernst&Young Bucharest and then at PwC Luxembourg as Manager.
Maria earned a BS in Banking and Stock Exchange from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and has been an ACCA affiliate since February 2014.
Mark Coppin

Mark is a director and leads Standish’s London office. Prior to joining Standish Management, Mark ran the UK office of Ipes (now part of the Apex group). Mark has over 20 years of experience in the funds industry, having previously held roles in other fund administration businesses, ran the Portfolio Servicing teams at Capital Dynamics and spent over seven years working on pan-European funds at 3i plc. Mark started his career working as an auditor at PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
Mark earned a BSC in Economics from the University of Birmingham and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
